The exterior of the ball features a durable composition cover which outlasts the competition. It’s constructed nylon windings and a two-ply heavy duty bladder for greater air retention. The bladder is made of butyl rubber which provides a tough airtight inner compartment. This helps the Voit Tetherball keep its shape.
Butyl rubber is impermeable to air. It is used in many industrial applications requiring airtight rubber.
A tetherball pole is ten-feet tall and two inches in diameter. The pole is typically made from steel.
The distance between the hanging ball and the ground should be about 2 feet.
A ten foot circle around the pole marks the boundaries.
The first serve is decided by a coin flip.
