The Sorby 809H 1- ¼” Oval Skew
is new in the original package.
It is a delicately balanced tool that is the "plane" of a turner's tool kit. Designed by Sorby, the profile allows the tool to glide effortlessly along the tool rest without fear of the edges catching on the rest. It will smooth cylinders, clean the end grain of spindles, and cut shallow curves, beads, pummels, and v-cuts. Indispensable when a fine finish is required from the tool.
1-1/4" tool has a handle length of 12" and an overall length of 18-1/4" and has an ash handle.
