    Description

    This is a large format (19 1/2" x 13 3/4") calendar from 1987 that was printed in Germany on fine paper.  It features 12 reprinted lithographic colored prints from artist Samuel Prout (1783-1852) and each page shows a different city or town in Germany.  The calendar portion runs along the bottom and is scored 1 3/4" from the bottom to remove easily and retain the print for framing.  There is a plastic cover on the calendar which is torn at the top and the string hanger in the back is partially loose. The front of the plastic piece says "Romantisches Deutschland" and the back says "Ein Kunstkalender aus dem Dr. Schwarze Verlag Wuppertal."  There is a 4-language back page that explains about the artist.    There is some slight discoloration on a few of the bottom corners but nothing major and no tears that I can see.
