This is a wonderful representative of toys from a simpler time when imagination filled in the details.  I remember my brother riding his horse.  To me it looked like he was running up the stairs but he saw a mountain to ride up on his horse.
Dorothy Bauer Designs added this fun piece to her line for kids and Christmas in 1997.
This is a brooch fabricated by hand.  The settings create the horses head and soldered in place.
The horse head is set with Swarovski Austrian Crystal chatons in dark smoke topaz with a mane of light Siam red 12pp chatons
Reins of 12pp clear crystal help guide the horse on the journey.
The piece is 3" long with the horse head being 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".
The finish is 23k gold electroplating.
