    Description

-Nice old blue and white teapot, with a floral motif in an Asian style.
-Research indicates that this piece is an example of Arita Ware.
-It was made in the 1800s, in a region of Japan that produced a lot of porcelain for export to Europe and North America.
-The pot is about 4 inches tall, including the lid.
-From handle to spout, the pot is about 6 inches long. It is about 4 inches wide.
-The diameter of the pot's mouth is about 2⅜ inches.
-Includes an unglazed tea infuser/strainer that fits into the teapot mouth.
-The lid has some mended cracks. There is are two pinhead-sized chips, along a mended crack line, on the lid. One is on the lid top; the other is on the underside.
-There is a fleabite sized chip on the pot's spout.
-Aside from these issues, the piece has no problems: no other chips or cracks. The glaze is shiny. Given its age, it is in quite good condition, considering that it was likely a daily-use item.
