Offering an exceptional Pair of Antique (19 C.) Carved Oak Figures. Complementary Male and Female-- Atlas/Mountain Man and Caryatid/Siren ? Attrib- Horner in the tradition of Black Forest Carving.  Backs are flat-- perhaps from piece of furniture. Could be retro fitted to Newel/Staircases. Hanger on back for wall.
Masterful, robust carving. Muscular. Wonderful detail. Her mellifluous, flowing locks. His exquisite, sculpted beard.
In excellent antique condition. Please see photos.
Approx dimensions. Impressive size.  34" h.  Base-- 7 5/8" by 3" d.   Deepest about  5".
