    Description

Exquisitely hand-painted with flying birds and a group of quail among flowers at the water's edge, this delicate Japanese Kutani Meiji era teapot is a lovely piece of decorative porcelain. Display it on a living room shelf or in a dining room breakfront.
Dating to the late 1800s, the teapot is signed on the bottom and displays well despite a repaired lid as shown in the listing photographs. The antique porcelain teapot also has a hairline crack that begins at the rim extending about 2 inches down towards the left of the quail grouping. The vintage 19th-century teapot is priced accordingly.
