    Description

    Description
This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.
It is made of oak and is currently painted.
The top has carved sunburst panels on three sides.
The shaft has reel and bead molding at the corners and full length carved panels on 3 sides.
The base is notched for the step but it is freestanding.
It measures 42.5 inches tall above the floor, almost 9 inches square at the base and 7 square at the shaft.
There are several inches at the bottom that were set into the floor.
Overall it is in good condition.  There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique.  It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. There is a chip at the base, we have the piece taped on. There is a crack where it met the handrail. The base had an electrical outlet added. There is no cap or finial. Please look at the pictures carefully.

    Terms of Sale
I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.
    About Us
My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting.  Steve and Michelle
