(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 2007 Aston Martin Vantage V8 on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of the car due to third-party website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 135 photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around video, and a link to the Aston Martin's accident-and-damage-free, very low-mileage, one-owner Carfax history report-also showing comprehensive recent servicing- please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)
"The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is the best used exotic-car value in the world." – Jalopnik, February 2017
Jalopnik writer Freddy Hernandez described the model's development: "The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a sports car designed by Henrik Fisker, originally meant to compete with the likes of the Porsche 911 Carrera S. It featured a 4.3-liter V8 engine derived from Jaguar's AJ line, with different cylinder heads, cylinder bore dimensions, intake and exhaust plenums, and a race-inspired dry-sump oiling system that allowed the engine to be mounted further back than any other Aston Martin to date, essentially making the drivetrain a front-mid configuration. It was Aston Martin's entry-level sports car, and a model that would go largely unchanged in platform for the next decade."
And as to the Vantage's position in today's market: "... the Vantage treads the line between old-school sports car and elegant exotic at a price that is affordable by nearly anyone with a moderate rainy-day fund." He added an important note on maintenance and servicing: "In addition, unlike most cars with an original price tag that surpassed six figures, it remains one of the most maintenance-free cars in this bracket. Things like oil changes are more-or-less regular procedures and repair intervals are infinitely more reasonable than the likes of big V12 Lamborghinis, with their 5,000 mile, ,000 clutch replacements."
Offered here is a triple-rare example, a 2007 V8 Vantage in Ferrari yellow over jet black, one of only 17 cars with this exterior paint. Its second claim to rarity: The car has traveled just 10,800 miles since new, a remarkable 771 miles per-year on average. Its exceptional condition and one-owner history make for its third claim to rarity. This really is a collector-car hat-trick.
The exterior factory-applied yellow paint (an actual Ferrari color that Porsche would call "Speed yellow") presents in showroom condition: perfectly glossy and free of surface damage or indications of sun-fading. Yellow Aston MArtin-branded brake calipers add the finishing touch. The car's trim, athletic body proportions are suited to this standout color. Its grille, lower front air intake, body trim (including mirrors), functional hood vents, hatchback trim, and lower rear valance are all rendered in black. Against the yellow paint, the effect is striking: serious performance with real flair. That this combination may not be right for everyone is one reason why it is so appealing to a select few. Factory 10-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone performance tires.
Inside, yellow and black trade places; black is the dominant color with yellow in a supporting role. Premium black leather graces seating surfaces, console, dashboard, door trim, even the emergency-brake boot. Yellow stitching is the accent on all those surfaces. The look on the properly bolstered, high-back front bucket seats, with yellow stitching running down the center of the seat cushions, is unique and inviting. Black carpet covers the cabin floors. The black dashboard is fronted by a leather-covered sport steering wheel wearing the classic Aston Martin insignia. The center console flows from the dash to the location of the 6-speed manual-transmission shifter. Billet-aluminum floor pedals are another race-inspired design feature. Every surface in the cabin is entirely free of damage or signs of wear. "Like new" is no exaggeration.
Under the hood, the 380-horsepower V8 rests beneath chassis cross-bracing, under an air intake manifold adorned with "4.3 V8" and Aston Martin logo. Here again, surfaces are all pristine with no sign of wear and no modifications. Viewed from below, the same condition is evident: beautifully maintained, entirely free of damage, and barely a hint of use. Every under-body protective covering is in place and like-new. Across the board, the car could not have appeared any better when it left Warwickshire, England on its trip to the states.
All proper factory VIN stickers remain in place and unaltered.
While the more than 135 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this Aston Martin Vantage in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.
Car and Driver raved about the model's build quality: "Building each Vantage by hand took 200 hours, and the attention to detail shows in the spectacular leather interior, the swan doors that open with a dignified 12-degree upswing, and the machined-aluminum gauges." One C&D writer was so enamored of the car, he waxed eloquent: "It's a... slipstream carved from a solid billet of sex appeal.... How will owners turn their backs, and close their garage doors?" Good question.
